Executive Management

Konstantinos Xyloyiannis, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

With HICX since its formation in 2004, Konstantinos has been instrumental in building it into a leading Supply Base Management company. He is responsible for setting the company’s strategic direction as well as overseeing the growth and expansion, strategy, planning, execution and overall performance of the company.

With more than ten years of experience in enterprise software management, consulting, research and development, and marketing and sales, Konstantinos is a respected leader in the supply base management market. He started his career working in Corporate Finance for the Royal Bank of Scotland Group in London. Afterwards, he transitioned from banking into management consulting, where he led the Finance and Procurement Systems & Process practice, in Business and IT transformation for large multinational corporations, in Europe, North America, and Asia. He then worked with a number of startup technology companies in different functions. Konstantinos continues to act as an advisor and member of the board of directors for a number of startups.

Konstantinos holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Information Systems Engineering from Imperial College London.

Hassan Ismail, Chief Operating and Technology Officer

Responsible for overseeing the development, quality, IT operations, and lead innovation within the group’s R&D arm, Hassan also serves as a member of HICX’s Board of Directors.

Before starting up HICX, Hassan worked at Morgan Stanley in London, later working across various industries as both CIO and CTO. He has over 15 years of experience in enterprise software development and infrastructure operations, and is the architect of a number of leading enterprise systems for Finance, Procurement, and Supply Chain.

Hassan holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Information Systems Engineering from Imperial College London.

Myrto Lee, Chief Finance and Administration Officer

Myrto joined HICX as CF&AO in 2009 to oversee the financial, human resources and legal functions of the company. She also serves as a member of HICX’s Board of Directors.

Myrto started her career working with the leading pharmaceutical company Pfizer, before leaving to complete her PhD in Drug Delivery. Afterwards, she spent a number of years working in the biotech startup industry, in variety of cross-functional roles. From then she moved into the pharma regulatory space, where she oversaw approval of innovative drugs coming to market.

Myrto holds a Bachelor’s of Pharmacy from King’s College London, a PhD from Cardiff University, and an MBA from London Business School.

Grant Watling, Vice President Customer Success and Service Delivery

Joining HICX in April 2014 as a Principal to lead HICX’s Global Consulting Services practice, Grant brings 11 years management consulting experience specialising in supplier data and analytics advisory services.

In October 2015 Grant was appointed as Vice President with global responsibility to drive customer success outcomes through leading a world-class customer success team, inspiring customer success across the company, optimising the customer experience, and ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all HICX do. Grant maintains global leadership of the master data, technology implementation, support / user adoption, outsourced managed services, and advisory service lines.

Previously with PRGX, Grant was the Principal Consultant for Europe and Asia Pacific focused on P2P, master data management, and analytics. In this role he designed and delivered supplier master programs for large organisations across Europe, Asia Pacific and the Americas; led the development of an insight practice to identify data driven opportunities for clients to realise new value in their supplier relationships; led an analytics team of 40 as the global analytics director delivering services utilised by merchandising, procurement, finance and compliance functions; implemented numerous spend analysis services for multi-geographic clients in retail, banking, energy, industrial, professional services and government sectors; and designed a revenue assurance program which reported £10m in year one savings.

Grant holds a Master’s Degree (MSc) in International Business, is a Prince2 practitioner and holds certificates from the Institute of Financial Services and the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Advisors

Marino Buser, Former Chief Procurement Officer, Novartis

Since his retirement in 2008, Marino acts as an advisor to large multinationals and is a frequent keynote speaker and thought leader for Procurement. Previously, Marino held the position of Chief Procurement Officer at Novartis from 1999 to 2008, head of procurement for the pharmaceutical business unit from 1997 to 1999, and head of the engineering function from 1991 to 1997.

During his time at Novartis, Marino was responsible for leading the Novartis sourcing functions and sourcing strategies on a worldwide basis across all business divisions. He transformed the procurement function from 400 primarily tactical buyers to a high-performing organization with more than 1400 sourcing associates based in 60 countries, sourcing over US $20 billion spend and corresponding to 90% of the company’s total external spend. Marino implemented such changes as applying category management to all major spend categories and introducing electronic procurement, greatly improving purchasing effectiveness to achieve significant bottom-line savings.

Earlier in his career, Marino was a management consultant with Hausermann + Co. and a project director for Electrowatt Engineering, where he worked in his native Switzerland. He also has over 10 years of experience in the Middle East and Asia.

Marino holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich and a post-graduate degree in Economics, also from ETH. During his professional career, he participated in a series of Executive Education Courses at Harvard and London School of Economics.

Marc Koch, CEO Koch BNC Inc.

Marc is a management and IT consultant and a speaker and agent of change for Supply Management and SAP SRM/CLM/MDM. He is the founder and CEO of Koch BNC Inc. (KBNC), a consulting company that provides business consulting, eProcurement, Contract Lifecycle Management and Master Data Management implementation, rollouts, and system integration services for multinational companies. Marc has grown KBNC into a multimillion-dollar turnover business with over 50 consultants, boasting numerous successful Procurement Systems & Process transformation and implementation projects with customers such as ABB, John Deere, Novartis, UBS, Credit Suisse, and Deutsche Telekom, across North America, India, Middle East and Asia.

Since starting his consulting career in 1988 with PwC, Marc’s record of accomplishment includes serving global clients at leading global consulting firms in different industries. He worked on numerous projects around Business Process Reengineering, Change Management, IS Strategy and Implementation of SAP IT Solutions, especially in multinational companies.

A leader in the enterprise software industry for more than 20 years, Marc has in-depth knowledge of many SAP modules. He has implemented R/3 Modules (MM, PP, PM, PS, SD) since the first R/3 releases launched beginning of the 90’s. For the last 15 years, he has been specializing in the field of SAP E-Procurement, E-Sourcing, Contract Management, Supply Chain Management Business Engineering, and Master Data Management. Marc is currently head of the German DSAG SRM Work Group (e.V.), elected by leading SAP customers and partners. In this position, he has a strong network within the SAP SRM product development and customer community.

Marc holds a dual degree in Computer Science and an MBA in Business Engineering from University St. Gallen, Switzerland and Santa Clara University, California.
